What we do
Trendwatch India was founded by Deepak Mohoni in 1996.
We are currently developing several powerful analytical tools to help investors make informed decisions.
Past products include custom stockmarket analysis and workshops for media and companies and production of stockmarket pages for newspapers.
The company's founder Deepak Mohoni (B. Tech. IIT Kanpur, MBA - IIM Calcutta) is a well-known market analyst and software developer, and has decades of experience in both.
Deepak popularised the use of technical analysis with his pioneering columns in the Economic Times and Business World. He coined the word "sensex" and used it for the first time in his column in the Business World of Sep 13-26 in 1989.
He developed software as an independent consultant for Burroughs Corporation (now Unisys) in the Netherlands and the UK before returning to India and writing his market columns.
He has appeared on almost all the Indian business TV channels including ET Now, CNBC TV18, BTVi, BBC, NDTV Profit, Zee Business, Aaj Tak, Star TV and Doordarshan. His views on the market have been sought by several business newspapers and magazines. He has also been interviewed by foreign newspapers including the Financial Times of London and Asahi Shimbun of Japan. He wrote a weekly column in the "Investor Guide" section of the Economic Times.
Several new products providing information and analysis for long-term investors as well as short-term traders are currently in the pipeline.
The company is making use for data science software for its next generation of products.
Trendwatch also provides a high-integrity historical prices database for the Indian stock market, and conducts workshops on demand.
