Cause for concern as China plans to build another dam on the Brahmaputra just 30km from the Indian border
China has plans to build another dam on the Brahmaputra in Medog, just 30km along its border with India in Arunachal Pradesh. The dam is to be built to generate three times as much power as the controversial Three Gorges Dam - where flooding had caused considerable concern earlier in 2020, with fears that the dam could break.
