Bitcoin climbed to an all-time high of $19,920.53 on Dec 1, going past its Dec 18, 2017 high of $18,094. The cryptocurrency had been written off by many when it crashed to $3,122 on Dec 16, 2018.
Bitcoin has gained nearly 180% since the start of this year, with a section of the market viewing it as a safe haven during the coronavirus crisis. Opinions about its worth continue to be divided, but there are several renowned investors and institutions backing it after its comeback.
